b d s m is a very ------- and intimate thing, which often involves nudity, or even markings and activities considered violent in nature.

It can be quite hard getting pictures approved due to content, but pictures are also visual representations of what can happen within this culture.

I am not questioning the moderators reasoning, but I personally find it just a little odd that b d s m Passions is so public whereas Nudist Passions is much more private allowing for nudity to be shown in the individuals pictures.

I was just thinking that if b d s m Passions was treated similarly to Nudist in regards to content approval, much more material could be posted, allowing for a broader understanding on the types of play and activities associated with b d s m.

There can be BEAUTIFUL rope-work performed on a sub (or even ones self), but due to the showing of skin, that rope-work (which is an art in itself) may be denied approval. Same could be said for needles, breath play, cutting (i have seen some AMAZING cutting designs), blood, mock drowning, electric play, flogging and single tale marks (which can be so intense blood is drawn), even extreme bondage could be seen as simply too graphic for public...I could go on, but I think that makes my point.

Couldn't b d s m Passions be treated similarly to Nudist in the privacy of content, allowing for more information to be shared, which could result in safer play practices all around? Because it is with information that we are best educated...and anybody can type out their thoughts, but it can be quite hard to comprehend the power and intensity of serious play without some form of visual aid.

Your comments regarding 'cutting' immediately make us uncomfortable, as it is highly unlikely that we will allow images that contain/display blood.

We expect to come up with a set of photo rules for b d s m Passions that are different from the rules on the other sites, but in all likelihood, they are probably still going to be significantly more 'vanilla' than what might be desired on a site with a theme like b d s m.

As soon as we come to a conclusion on how to address this issue, we will post the rules within the photo area.

`I was just shooting for examples, and have no intention of displaying blood or gore; I do look forward to some potential guidelines, as it is really hard to get any sort of actual b d s m photography without any nudity.

I am a patient girl, I respect the rules of the passions network (hence the reasoning for black box editing in the photographs i do submit), but just felt that maybe something could be done for such an adult topic.

I am coming from a head space with only respect in mind...not trying to push any buttons, or make any demands.

`Well, that answered the question I was about to ask, i.e. why is my photo shown as "secret" when I don't have it set that way.

I do wonder how it will work to be in TWO groups with separate photo guidelines from the rest of the network.To make my Nudist Passions photo appear as my profile photo there, I had to "move to top;" otherwise my general photo was the one that appeared. Will the same happen with a b d s m-only photo? Will setting it as my profile photo here interfere with my profile photo on other sites?

I realize the original message is a Former member, but in case she comes back under another screen name and reads this: keep in mind that Nudist Passions does require that nude photos be non-erotic in nature. So keep that in mind in anticipating what b d s m Passions may or may not allow. I can put a picture of myself nude on Nudist Passions; I cannot put a picture of just my genitals, or in a s----l situation, even on Nudist Passions. I expect that probably b d s m Passions will end up with similar requirements.

b d s m is a very graphic and erotic kink. It is rather difficult to separate the intensity and what might be disturbing to a Nilla person. Moderation of photos is a tricky business and you have to consider the fact that subbies are displaying their wares. This is itself part of the kink.
